On December 13, 2016, the PDI Western District and the Motor Vehicle Committee pcresented a CLE in conjunction with the Annual Holiday Party at The Rivers Club in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The event sponsors for the CLE and the Holiday Party were: Network Depositions, Rudick Forensic Engineering, S-E-A, Fleisher Forensics, RecordTrak, IME Care Center, Gleason & Associates, and Precise. PDI thanks the event sponsors. Their participation and sponsorship allows PDI to present such successful and enlightening CLE’s for the membership. Also attending as Exhibitors were State Sponsors Robson Forensics, CED Technologies, and Center for Forensic Economic Studies.
Scott Millhouse, President-elect, of Meyer, Darrah, Buckler, Bebenek,& Eck, served as moderator for the CLE. The feature presentation was made by Rebecca Sember-Izsak of Thomas, Thomas & Hafer. Rebecca made an excellent presentation on the new Medical Marijuana Law and its impact on other areas of the law. She provided a broad overview of the law and then discussed how the new law may impact other areas of law that would be of interest to PDI membership. Following Rebecca’s presentation, there was a very interesting panel discussion related to closing arguments and ethical considerations.
Immediately following the CLE, the festivities associated with the Holiday Party began. Approximately 70 people attended. There was plenty of great food and beverages provided by The Rivers Club. Several judges, including Supreme Court Justice Debra Todd attended. A Good Time was had by all. It was a pleasant evening of good cheer, holiday wishes, and just good old fashion collegiality among friends, colleagues and new acquaintances.
