PDI MEMBERS ENJOY GREAT BREAKFAST ON DAY ONE OF ANNUAL CONFERENCE SPONSORED BY

PDI Members were treated to a great breakfast sponsored by Fleisher Forensics and Finley Consulting and Investigations prior to beginning the CLE Program.  The Thursday Opening CLE Program featured Raymond Shelton, Ph.D., F. A.A. E. T.S. a Fellow and Director of Professional Development with the National Center for Crisis Management.  Dr. Shelton is an international conference presenter and provides direct consultation and training to the Trauma Support Center of England.  He is the author of the book EMS Stress, An Emergency Responders Handbook for Living Well (Mosby Publications, 1994), Acute Traumatic Stress Management (American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress 2001).  He has served on the American Hospital Ad Hoc Committee on Major Transportation Carrier Disasters in developing the report – Major Transportation Carrier Disasters:  Improving Response and Coordination, 1991.  Dr. Shelton’s articles on Stress and Traumatic Stress Management have appeared in Claims and Claimsman magazines.  Dr. Shelton tapped into his vast knowledge related to stress and provided significant information to assist lawyers in the management of the stress related to the practice of law in this modern times.  The title of his presentation was Titantic Stress – A Losing Battle with Forces Unseen.    

                         

Following a break, the program featured breakout sessions with four of the PDI Committees: Products Liability Committee presentation provided by William Ricci, Esquire and C. Scott Toomey, Esquire; Employment and Civil Rights Committee presentation provided by Michael Lettrich, Esquire; Civil Practice and Procedure Committee presentation provided by Denise Montgomery, Esquire and Joseph Holko, Esquire; and Workers’ Compensation Committee presentation provided by Neil Dombrowski, Esquire; John Zeigler, Esquire, and Stephen Moore, Esquire.

   

The CLE Programs were followed by the Annual Business Meeting and Awards, Lunch, Golf and free time to enjoy all the options offered by Omni Bedford Springs Resort.
